EUROFIMA publishes the Green Bond Allocation report for its outstanding Green Bonds

EUROFIMA has been an active Green Bond issuer since the issuance of the EUR 500 million inaugural Green Bond 0.25% 09/02/2024 at the end of 2018. Further issues include EUROF 0.15% 10/10/2034 with EUR 1.38 billion outstanding, EUROF 0.10% 20/05/2030 with EUR 750 million outstanding, and EUROF 0% 18/07/2026 with 300 million outstanding. From these EUR 1.93 billion were issued in 2020.

As of September 30th 2020, the overall net proceeds of EUR 2’898 million were fully allocated to fund Electric Passenger Rail Transport Rolling Stock, as per EUROFIMA’s Green Bond Framework. The green bond net proceeds were used to finance Electrical Multiple Unit trains (61%), coaches for passenger transportation (16%), locomotives 16% and high-speed trains (7%). The geographical allocation is as follows: 40% in Switzerland, 27% in Italy, 25% in Spain, 6% in Belgium and 2% in Luxembourg.
