New 2035 EUR Benchmark
On Tuesday November 12th 2024, EUROFIMA has successfully launched a new long 10-year EUR 500 million Eurobond. Pricing was set at a spread of +62 bps over Mid Swap, which equates to + 60.3bps vs Bund. With this transaction, EUROFIMA printed its first euro benchmark since November 2022 and reached an orderbook, which was 3x oversubscribed at EUR 1.5 billion.
Barclays, BofA Securities, Credit Agricole, J.P. Morgan and Natixis were mandated as Joint-Lead Managers on the transaction.
The high-quality book attracted more than 90 investors. The geographical distribution was: Europe 70%, Asia 26%, UK 4%. Distribution by investor type: Central Banks and Official institutions 61%, Asset Managers 30%, Insurers & Pension Funds 6%, Banks 2%, others 1%.
The proceeds of the bond will be utilised for lending to railways to invest in electric passenger transport according to EUROFIMA’s Green Bond Framework, which has received a Second-Party Opinion from Sustainalytics.
