EUROFIMA appoints new CEO

Following the resignation of Harry Müller in October 2022 as Chief Executive Officer of EUROFIMA, a delegation of the Board of Directors started its consultations regarding the succession of the CEO position.

The Board of Directors of EUROFIMA is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dr. Christoph Pasternak as the new CEO of EUROFIMA from 1 September 2023 at the latest. Christoph Pasternak, currently Sector Head Rail & Bus at BayernLB, brings with him extensive know-how in the banking sector, and in particular, rolling stock financing. With this decision, the Board of Directors has chosen a proven expert in the field of rolling stock financing who will continue to implement EUROFIMA's strategy and further strengthen EUROFIMA's position as a major financing partner of European railways. The Board of Directors wishes Christoph Pasternak every success in his future role.

The Board of Directors thanks Harry Müller for his commitment and dedication over the last five years in the Management of EUROFIMA and in his prior role as a member of the Board of Directors where he served from 2011 to 2018. His achievements as CEO included the relaunch of the capital markets activities with the issuance of green bonds and the focus on a holistic approach to sustainability, which led to significantly improved ESG-Ratings and the re-activation of business with previously dormant shareholders. The Board of Directors wishes Harry Müller all the best for both his professional and personal future.

To ensure a smooth transition, Harry Müller has agreed to extend his contract until 30 June 2023. Any potential interim solution for the short period between the outgoing CEO and the incoming CEO will be announced at a later date.
